beyond the eyes

idle chatter

and worry

uncertainty, strife and longing

can inhabit the same space

So the secrets simmer

to the edges

of our consciousness

and like budding seeds

rupture through the surface

a grove of crimson & gold trees

with indanthrene blue

and pearl

microfilial networks

of mushroom colonies

singing their songs

and entwining us

in their mystery

embracing us

in the joy

the wholeness

of discovery

contemplation
